.COM’ON is a new networking initiative, open for every visitor to participate. Within the context of an exhibition with art, film and performances, it’s aim is to encourage people to connect. Unlike most events where you might make promising contacts, the .COM’ON project will enforce the new network by giving opportunities to show results of collaborations during a next .COM’ON show in another city or venue.
Artworks are shown ‘naked’, in their purest form, without frames or protection. This refers to the wish of the .COM’ON concept to make the networking process open and clear, without hidden agendas. The works, as well as the contacts made, are out in the open.
Everyone who’s present during a .com’on show can fill in a 'profile badge’. Besides your name and emailadress, you can add information about your work and intrests. You're free to attach some of your own work (size A6) or to draw on the back of the card. These profile badges will be presented in the exhibition space as open sollicitations for new collaborations.
If you see anyone in this collection of cards that you would like to collaborate with, you can fill in a .COM’BINATION card. On this card you can draw the first sketches or ideas for the new creation. After the event the .COM'ON team will send emails to all persons mentioned on the postcards to inform them about the possibility to work with someone else.
Than it's up to you: will the collaboration take place or not?
The .com’on team will keep tracks of the new collaborations, to show interesting results in a next .com’on show. The next edition will take place in Eindhoven, Holland. More information will folow.
COM'ON invites artists, dancers, architects, writers, directors, actors, photographers, theater makers, designers, illustrators, poets, publishers, cooks, carpenters, fashion designers, models, light-artists, filmmakers, steel workers, housewives, philosophers, musicians, ...
